About your insulation contractor in Las Cruces

Who we are, how I run each insulation job, and what happens after you call us.

How I learned insulation the hard way

I learned insulation on an old-school boss's crews, and he made me tear out and redo anything that wasn't right. After years of that, I started Prime Las Cruces Spray Foam Insulation in 2023 as an insulation contractor in Las Cruces, NM. The habit he drilled into me stuck, so I still look hard at an attic, a wall or a crawl space before I say a word about price.

Most of our calls come from homeowners with a hot upstairs, a high power bill all summer, or an attic nobody has looked in for years. Some come from people running shops, offices and metal buildings. Either way, we start by finding out what's really up there before anyone tries to sell you anything.

Doing the work in the right order matters most to me. Insulation laid over a roof leak, bad wiring or gaps nobody sealed is money thrown away, and my old boss never let that slide. I'd rather tell you a job isn't ready yet than do it wrong and leave you paying for it twice.

What you get when we take the job

These are the habits behind every estimate and every job we do, from topping up an attic over the garage to insulating a shop or metal building.

A quote based on what's there

I go into your attic, walls or crawl space before I write a number, so the estimate covers what's actually there, how many inches are already down and what shape they're in. A phone quote can't see soaked insulation, droppings or buried eave vents, and those change the job.

Problems named before insulation goes in

If a roof leak, old wiring or suspect insulation has to be dealt with first, I'll tell you plainly and build it into the plan. We also do air sealing, closing the gaps around can lights, pipes and the hatch, before we insulate, because insulation fighting a draft can't do its job.

The owner from start to finish

You deal with me from the first visit to the last walk-through. I do the estimate myself, our crew does the work, and I run each job and check it before we leave, so nothing gets lost between whoever quoted it and whoever did it. New Mexico requires construction contractors to be state licensed, and we're licensed and insured.

What happens after you reach out

Here's how a job usually goes with us, in the order it happens, so you know who's coming out and what you'll see at each step.

  1. 1

    Call or send the form

Call (575) 222-9021 or fill out our contact form and tell us what you're noticing, like a hot room, cold floors or a crawl space you're worried about. We reply within one business day.

  2. 2

    Walk the house with me

I come out for a free estimate with no obligation and look at what's there first. Then I write out each step of the job, including anything that needs fixing before we insulate, so you can see what you're paying for.

  3. 3

    Let us prep and work

Before we start, I check with the office that covers your address and handle a permit and inspections if the job needs them. Our crew seals the gaps, then insulates, and I'll tell you ahead of time if you need to be out.

  4. 4

    Walk the finished job

Once the crew's done, we walk it together so you can see the coverage reaches the edges, the eave vents are clear and the mess is gone. The work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee.
